The Word Still Works

The word still works is a Christian teaching ministry dedicated to expounding the unadulterated word of God to those who love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We believe it is the duty of every child of God to study and grow to maturity in Christ, hence, the scriptures said in Ephesians 4:10-15, that:

Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

In order to mature into manhood and to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, Paul in the book of 1 Corinthians 13:11 recognized that:

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

We must do our best to present ourselves to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). There is only one heaven and this heaven is the dwelling place of righteousness. The criteria for entering into this place remain the same for eternity. We must all meet this criterion in order to make it to the presence of the righteous one. The word still works ministry is dedicated to helping to firmly establish all in the truth (2 Peter 2:12) in order to mature in Him.

It is our prayer therefore that as we help guide you through the word of God in this ministry, that you remember at all times, the admonition in Hebrews 12:1-2, that:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
